Tässä eräänä päivänä tottistreenien yhteydessä Dharma pääsi tapaamaan ihanan, suloisen, naskalihampaisen pikkupennun. Pentu kuuluu yhdelle seuran jäsenistä, ja isoksi kasvettuaan hänellä on edessä suuri ura rottakoirana. Dharma oli alkuun hyvin hämmentynyt, mutta totesi sitten kuitenkin, että voisi tuon piskuisen kanssa leikkiäkin jos ihmiset vain olisivat antaneet.

Muuten tottistreeneissä menee hyvin. Dharma oppii nopeasti ja on tosi innokas kentällä. Joidenkin herkkujen osalta vähän jo tehoaan menettäneen namipalkkaamisen rinnalle on nyt löytynyt muutama lelu jotka nähdessään Dharma unohtaa kaiken muun ympäriltään. Niitä nyt opetellaan käyttämään ja motivoimaan Dharmaa ikäviinkin asioihin (kuten sisään tulemiseen tai autoon menemiseen) sen avulla, että hänen ikäväksi kokemistaan asioista voikin seurata jotain hyvää.

The other day at the weekly obedience training at our dog association’s training field Dharma met the tiniest little puppy. The puppy belongs to a fellow member of the dog association, and she will have a career as a rat dog as soon as she grows up (not that she’s gonna grow a lot though 😀 ). At first Dharma was a bit confused but after a period of careful get-to-know she decided that the puppy is good company. 

Our obedience training goes well. Dharma is a quick learner and enjoys training very much. We’ve usually used treats as a reward but now we’ve found a couple of toys that Dharma loves so much that she forgets everything around her when she sees them. Now the humans learn how to use such power tools and motivate Dharma with them to those boring things such as getting to car or going inside.
